How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?
As I navigate the river of life, each significant event acts as a boulder in the current, shaping the flow of my journey. When I reflect on joyous moments, like the birth of a child or the achievement of a long-held dream, it’s as if the water rushes around those stones, creating bright splashes of happiness that illuminate my path. However, when I encounter hardships-loss or failure- those boulders can create whirlpools of despair that threaten to pull me under.
Yet, with each passing year, I learn to embrace the changes in this river. The smooth stones of my past become polished with time, reminding me of the lessons learned through adversity. I’ve found that the ebb and flow of highs and lows enrich my understanding of what truly matters. Like the riverbank reshaping with each flood, my perspective is molded through experiences.
The beauty of this journey lies in the acceptance that time, much like the water, is inevitable and carries me forward, even when I resist. I’ve realized that both the rough and smooth waters serve a purpose, guiding me toward a deeper appreciation for the fleeting yet precious nature of life.
