Jesus Christ is Our Glory

Daily Devotion on November 11-12, 2024

The Spirit lifted me up and brought me. into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. – Ezekiel 43:5

Ezekiel 43:5 describes a vision of the glory of the Lord filling the temple, symbolizing God’s presence among His people. This passage comes during a time when the Israelites where in exile in Babylon, and it serves as a promise of restoration and hope. The temple represents not just a physical structure but a spiritual reality where God dwells with His people, emphasizing His glory and majesty.

In the New Testament, however, Jesus embodies the fulfillment of God’s Glory. John 1:14 states, “The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son.” Christ’s life, death, and resurrection reveal the ultimate expression of God’s glory. Through His sacrificial love, He reconciles humanity to God, allowing us to share in His divine nature and glory. This relationship transforms our understanding of glory from mere splendor to a profound connection with the Creator.

How can we reflect that glory in our lives? to reflect Christ’s glory in our lives, we must put our faith in Him as our Lord and Savior, and embody His teachings and character. This involves living with love, humility, and grace, mirroring the attributes of Jesus. By serving others and sharing the message of hope and redemption, we become vessels of His glory.

Additionally, spending time in prayer and stying Scripture deepens our relationship with Christ, enabling us to shine His light in a world that often feels dark. As we grow in faith, we can confidently declare that Jesus is OUR GLORY, and our lives will reflect that truth to those around us.

You are God’s Holy of Holies. You are His place of worship. You are where His glory dwells.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart. As your glory fills this place, may I be were of Your presence in my life. Cleanse me, guide me, and lead me in Your ways. Help me to honor You in all that I do. In Jesus, name. Amen.
