Scripture: “The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where * you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

In Exodus 12:13. we find a crucial moment during the Israelites deliverance from Egypt. God instructs Moses about the Passover, telling the Israelites to mark their doorposts with the blood of a sacrificial lamb. The verse states, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.” This command is set against the backdrop of the final plague-God’s judgment against Pharaoh and Egypt for their oppression of the Israelites. The blood signifies protection and deliverance a powerful symbol rooted in faith and obedience.

In today’s world, the concept of blood marking doorposts can be understood figuratively. While the literal act was pertinent to a specific historical context, the symbolism remains profoundly relevant.The blood represents sacrifice, grace, and the notion of safety from judgement. For us, it serves as a reminder that faith in blood of Jesus can provide protection amidst chaos and uncertainty. Scripture:”The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.”

In Genesis, we read, “The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.” This poignant moment follows the disobedience of Adam and Eve, showcasing the profound transition from innocence to awareness. After eating from the Tree of Knowledge, they realized their nakedness and hid themselves from. This act of disobedience brought about shame and separation from their Creator, yet, in the midst of their failure, God took the initiative to provide a covering for them.

The context of this verse is significant. Adam and Eve’s actions led to the fall-a pivotal moment in biblical history where sin entered the world. Their attempt to cover themselves with fig leaves symbolizes human effort to hide our shortcomings and failings. However, these self-created coverings were inadequate, highlighting humanity’s inability to genuinely reconcile itself with God through mere attempts at righteousness.

In contrast, God’s provision of garments made from animal skins signifies His grace and mercy. This act illustrates the first sacrifice, a foreshadowing of the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus Christ. This judgement determines their eternal destination: Heaven with Jesus or Hell.

In Christian doctrine, Heaven is described as a place of perfect communion with God, characterized by joy, peace, and fulfillment. It is portrayed as a reward for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and lived a life of faith and good works. Scriptures such as John 14:2-3 highlight the notion of Jesus preparing a place for believers, emphasizing the hope of reuniting with loved ones and dwelling in God’s presence eternally.

Conversely, Hell is depicted as a separation from God-a place of suffering for those who reject God grace in Christ.
