Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?
As a child, the Bible was my compass, guiding me through the uncharted waters of my youth. Its pages felt like the delicate wings of a butterfly, each one adorned with vibrant stories and timeless wisdom, fluttering gently through my hands. I’d often lose myself in its verses, each word a shimmering star in the vast galaxy of my imagination.
To me, the Bible was not merely a book; it was a treasure chest filled with jewels of faith, hope, and love. I would read it by flashlight under the covers, its soft leather binding wrapped around my heart like a comforting embrace on a chilly night. Each parable was a winding path through a forest of mystery, inviting me to explore the depths of my own soul.
As I grew, life’s currents pulled me away, and the Bible eventually found a permanent place on my shelf, gathering dust like forgotten memories. Yet, no matter the distance, I still can hear the echoes of its teachings, the gentle whispers reminding me of my roots and beliefs. Though my compass became momentarily lost in the clutter of adulthood, the North Star of my childhood remains, forever illuminating my way back home.
